Hyper-Galactic Spiders from Mars

Hyper-Galactic Spiders from Mars is a 2d arcade shooter with an art style based on the Atari 2600/VCS video game console. 

In the game you play the part of an astronaut who has been living in a colony on Mars growing your own food and storing it in huge silos. Everything was going fine until you were suddenly attacked by mutant spiders from the Martian desert. 

The aim of the game is not just to shoot enemies and clear levels to gain a high score, but to try and survive long enough to be rescued without running out of food. You have to survive until Sol 10 (a Sol is a Martian day). Each Sol is split into 4 stages of afternoon, evening, night and morning. Every morning a repair ship arrives with drop pods to repair your damaged silos. 

You've sent a distress signal and you'll be rescued in 10 days. But the spiders are hungry and after your food, and there's also mutant wasps and Martian patrols to worry about. So can you survive long enough for the rescue ship to arrive?

HOW TO PLAY:

The keyboard controls are:

Left arrow or A = move left. 
Right arrow or D = move right.
Up arrow or W  = use repair pods when in front of damaged silos.
Space =  fire.
P = pause.
Esc = quit from the pause screen.

The gamepad controls are:

LS =  move left or right
A = fire. 
B = use repair pods when in front of damaged silos. 
Start = pause.
Select = quit from the pause screen.
